Three Melbourne Sports Centres go Hyperlocal

BindiMaps is growing

Three new YMCA Victoria sports centres in Melbourne have been launched using our new, super-precise Hyperlocal technology. All three centres will also deploy BindiMaps Kiosks.

The YMCAs previously used BindiMaps Bluetooth beacons to provide indoor localisation, but have now continued the BindiMaps service to their users, upgrading to the new technology.

The BindiMaps Hyperlocal technology does not require beacons or any other building infrastructure to deliver precise localisation in indoor locations, something which is critical for accessibility wayfinding, particularly for users with vision impairment or blindness.

The BindiMaps Kiosk provides quick and easy routing from a stand-alone touch-screen that is typically deployed near building entrances.

With the BindiMaps Hyperlocal App and BindiMaps Kiosk, the YMCAs are providing totally accessible wayfinding for most user groups and use cases, and users with a wide range of accessibility needs.
