Melbourne Sports Centres, which is home to the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre; Lakeside Stadium; and the State Netball and Hockey Centre, is the latest location to get BindiMaps wayfinding and navigation.
The huge location featuring swimming pools, netball and hockey courts and a range of other world-class facilities, will be the first major sporting venue to provide independent wayfinding to to all its visitors and athletes, including those with vision impairment.
It is the first time BindiMaps has mapped a sporting venue of this size, and we can’t wait to show other venues the amazing difference it will make.
The Centres are currently closed due to the COVID restrictions in Victoria, so stay tuned. Once the restrictions are eased, we’ll be guiding users around these amazing venues quick smart!
