BindiMaps proudly participated in the Breaking Barriers: Putting Accessibility into Practice seminar, held at the Melbourne Convention Centre, hosted by the City of Melbourne in partnership with the Victoria Tourism Industry Council and MCEC. This important event brought together leaders in accessibility, tourism, and inclusive design—and we were thrilled to be part of it.
BindiMaps joined a powerhouse lineup of accessibility-focused organisations, including The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, Travellers Aid, Scope, and more. The event attracted up to 150 businesses, including hospitality venues, hotels, tourism operators, and event professionals.
As part of our commitment to creating inclusive environments, we also mapped the venue using BindiMaps to ensure the event itself was accessible to everyone attending.
A highlight of the day was hearing from the BindiMaps CEO, Anna Wright, who took the stage to speak on how cutting-edge technology is transforming accessibility in the visitor economy.
We’re grateful to the City of Melbourne and its partners for hosting such an impactful event. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, collaborate, and continue breaking down barriers to accessibility in public spaces.
