October marked a monumental month for us, achieving our highest usage ever, thanks to transformative partnerships and innovative tools. The highlight was our collaboration with South by Southwest Sydney, where BindiMaps seamlessly integrated into the official SXSW mobile app. Visitors navigated effortlessly between venues like the International Convention Centre and UTS buildings, showcasing how accessible wayfinding can elevate large-scale events.
Dylan Alcott’s Ability Fest in Melbourne and Sydney also featured BindiMaps, empowering attendees with vision impairments through fully accessible navigation on event websites and apps.
A key driver of this success was the launch of BindiWeb, a browser-based wayfinding tool. Unlike traditional apps, BindiWeb simplifies access by integrating maps directly into third-party websites, emails, or QR codes, allowing users to navigate from any device without needing to download an app. Alongside BindiWeb, the introduction of BindiMaps Kiosk extends navigation solutions to interactive screens at events and venues.
These innovations reflect BindiMaps’ broader vision of accessibility- serving a diverse user base while championing independence and inclusivity. As more venues adopt these tools, BindiMaps solidifies its place as a leader in digital wayfinding.
Whether you’re attending a festival, navigating a university, or visiting a public space, BindiMaps ensures you’ll always know the way.
