CEO Anna Wright went on a study tour to the US last month to meet with Silicon Valley executives and senior figures from companies including SalesForce, Walmart and Microsoft.
The Women Leaders Study Tour was organised by the Trans-Tasman Business Circle and included senior female executives from some of Australia’s largest and most influential companies.
“The tour was amazing,” Anna said. “The contacts and networks I was able to establish are incredible and have helped add significantly to the BindiMaps pipeline for customers in Australia and potential overseas.
“But a key opportunity during the tour was when I was asked to pitch BindiMaps to the tour bus, which included executives from The Commonwealth Bank, AMP, Salesforce and others.
“It was probably one of the most important pitches I’ve done, I’ve still got my hands full chasing the leads it generated!
“To make it harder, I was only allowed to pitch if I sang for the bus first.
“I sang ‘Feeling Good’, the original version from the otherwise truely ordinary musical The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd. Also the version that Michale Bublé sings, although I sing it in D Major.”
